The MX915/MX925 is beset with problems with the current Covid-19 cleaning that is occurring.
The store personnel are constantly spraying the terminals in an effort to resolve the community spread of Covid-19.
As a result of this constant cleaning, the MX915’s are becoming drenched with cleaning fluid which is seeping into the terminal. This results in blown motherboards from water intrusion into the terminal.
There are multiple liquid entry points that are plaguing the terminals. A few of them that are directly addressed with this solution are around the display, keypad, top and side of MSR and top and front of the smart card.

Example of no preventative liquid intrusion measures
Example of semi-effective solution
This solution provides key components for protection of the terminal:
• Patent Pending Solution
• Anti-Microbial screen protector
• Anti-Microbial silicone molded top shell
• One piece solution that eliminates liquid intrusion
• Securely adhered to screen protector and to remaining terminal to prevent liquid intrusion
• Form fitted to keys and to keyboard
• Drip edge over smart card to allow for liquid flow away for the smart card
• Drip edge over MSR to allow for liquid flow away from the MSR
• ADA compliant symbols on the keypad
• Screen print of keys on the silicone
• Eliminates the ability of a thief adding a skimmer top to the device by covering the top in clear silicone

Benefits over other solutions:
Other solutions provide protection only of the keypad but do not prevent liquid intrusion around other parts of the terminal. This still results in a level of failure of the terminals.
This solution also secures the screen and allows for elimination of liquid intrusion around the display.
